TruVent
While nosing, treads, and vents are a small part of everyone's projects, they're always a major headache. We seek to change that.
SIZES NEEDED FOR YOUR VENT
NEED TO KNOW:
A. LENGTH OF VENT
B. WIDTH OF VENT
This can be done with any solid, engineered, or luxury vinyl flooring.
THE OLD STANDARD
The trims available to the flooring industry previously were frustrating for everyone involved. Until now, a third party company would hold a control sample of the product and then work off of those pieces to try to custom match the color of the flooring for every order of trims. This presents a number of problems though.
1. The control sample they had was from years before and was often different than the batch delivered to the job site.
2. Different application techniques yield different results. Flooring is a consistent height and can be easily finished uniformly with finishing line rollers. However, trims have rounded edges and have to be finished individually by hand or by a sprayer, which doesn't allow for consistent results compared to rollers.
3. Different sources of wood, yield different colors. While it seems straight forward, it's important to note the final color of a floor is a combination of the wood and the stain applied on it. If white oak from two different sources is used, it often times results in a much different color, even if the same stain application is used. The wood for trims is always from a different source because it's done by a third party and therefore makes it almost impossible to match it perfectly.
A NEW EXPERIENCE
Now we simply have the customer order extra flooring and we manufacture the nosing, treads, and vents from the exact same batch of flooring they're having installed in their house. This ensures that there's no question if the color or height is going to match. It's so much easier for everyone involved.
